Woodstock
Express
Year
2000 Pictures
This
is the new Woodstock Express Line. The only structure so far is the
"Birdie Barn." The birds have yet, however, to express a
fondness for the structure. Plants include Ageratum and Gazania.

Here's a view from the other side. Boy, this really is an express. It only has one stop. If they weren't G-scale people, they would probably just walk.
The Woodstock Express is not really named after the PeanutsŪ character.
It just seemed like the kind of place that Woodstock would like, if he happened
to stop by. If you happen to spot Woodstock, let him know he's welcome
here, anytime. Woodstock Express is our first railroad on the
ground. Really on the ground. The Running Squirrel GRR has had some
ground lifted up to it, but it's not quite the same thing. Even though
this is really just a five foot loop of track, it still has the potential of
growing. That's what makes this hobby great. Now, how to connect the
two...
Next
to the Woodstock Express, is the Charles Zennie Memorial Garden. The small
Corkscrew Willow tree was planted last May, just 2 days before our son Chuck was
murdered. Since then, it's become "Chuck's tree." This new
border area was added this Memorial Day weekend, and Iris, Gazania were planted,
to create the garden area.
Given the proximity of the old tree (in the background of this picture,) where the Woodstock Express is located, and the Charles Zennie Memorial Garden, next year the CZMG might get railroad service also.
