Emmett L. Kennedy built this bridge at Moscow, Indiana in 1886.  You knew this was a Kennedy bridge by the trim and finish work.

 

 

 

 

 

The siding was horizontal shiplap which Kennedy thought added more strength to the truss.  His bridges were painted white and had rounded portals, corbels along the roof line, fancy scrollwork on the face, and the Kennedy name and date displayed over the opening.
