Marilyn Durham

Marilyn S. Durham, age 58, of Kettering passed away Wednesday May 19, 2004. Marilyn died peacefully at Hospice of Dayton after a 15 month struggle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family. 

Marilyn was born Valentine's Day, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana. At age seven, she moved to Vincennes, Indiana where she lived through her school years. 

She married Frank A. Durham on December 22, 1967 and they lived for many years in Anderson, Indiana, raising two daughters, before a brief move to Troy, Michigan. 

The family settled in Kettering, Ohio in 1988. Marilyn was an avid reader, enjoying mystery novels best of all. Her favorite store was Books & Company, and she enjoyed attending author book signings. 

She was also the librarian for the Miami Valley Garden Railway Society. 

She loved animals, especially cats. 

Marilyn had a marathon shopping habit that always included everyone, as her spirit was generous in every way.
