Franklin Park Conservatory Holiday Train
A CD Slide
Show and Screen Saver.
Though some
would say a garden railroad is 'supposed' to run in the summer when the
weather is nice, the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio proves
it doesn't have to be limited to warm weather.
When we first
arrived in the morning, in fact, there was ice on the ponds!
They've put
together scenes reminiscent of Hocking Hills (where the glaciers stopped,)
Marietta (Ohio's first town,) the Great Serpent Mound, the Adena Native
American Village, an Amish Farm and Lake Erie at Marblehead. You'll
also see the fine craftsmanship of builder Jim Kimmel, who created many of the
structures on the railroad, including the Marblehead Lighthouse.
In addition,
you'll get a glimpse of the Chihuly glass exhibit inside the conservatory.
